Description

Departing from Funchal Marina: You will be welcomed by our experienced and friendly crew, who will give you a brief safety briefing and an introduction to the sailboat. As we leave Funchal Marina, you will have a spectacular view of the city, nestled in its natural amphitheater, with Monte and the vibrant architecture ascending the slopes. You will see the Port of Funchal, often with imposing cruise ships, and feel the energy of Madeira's capital fade away as we head out to the open sea. As this is a private tour, you can choose whether to visit the west or east side, depending on the weather conditions. With the sails hoisted (wind permitting!), you will feel the magic of gliding smoothly through the waters, propelled only by the force of the wind. It is a feeling of freedom and connection with the ocean. We will follow the coastline westward, where Madeira's imposing cliffs rise majestically from the ocean. The view of this natural wonder from the sailboat is breathtaking, allowing you to appreciate its grandeur and the majesty of the landscape. Hidden Beaches and Coves: We will discover small pebble beaches and secluded coves, often inaccessible by land, that dot the coast. Stop for Swimming and Relaxation (if conditions permit). We will stop at one of the quiet coves along the coast, where the waters are crystal clear and inviting. You will have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the Atlantic Ocean, snorkel to explore the vibrant underwater marine life (equipment available on board), or simply relax on the deck, sunbathing and enjoying the peace of the sea. The coast of Madeira is a privileged habitat for several species of cetaceans. During the trip, our crew will be on the lookout for any signs of dolphins (common, spotted, bottlenose) and whales (pilot, Bryde's, sperm). With a little luck, you may witness these magnificent animals playing in the water, jumping or swimming alongside the sailboat, providing a truly unforgettable and exciting moment. The proximity and freedom to see them in their natural habitat are unmatched. We may also spot sea turtles or seabirds such as the Cory's shearwater. Return to Funchal Marina with breathtaking views or a magical sunset We will begin our return to Funchal Marina, with the coast of Madeira gradually reappearing on the horizon. Depending on the tour schedule, this return may be crowned by a spectacular sunset. You will feel the gentle breeze as the sailboat glides back to the marina, concluding your journey.
