This guided mountain biking tour starts at Poiso, Madeira, and suits riders of all skill levels looking to explore forest trails and levadas.

Overview

Begin your ride at 1400 meters above sea level in Poiso, with a gentle ascent to prepare you for the route. Your guide will assess your skills and offer two options: technical single-track rides or easier routes along roads and gravel paths following the Levadas, Madeira's traditional water channels.

The 25 km trail descends to approximately 850 meters above sea level, passing through laurel, eucalyptus, and pine forests. Along the way, you can pick blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. After a short refreshment break, the ride continues through Camacha and finishes with a 10 km paved descent to the Lokoloko Shop, requiring precise braking skills.
