Description
Discover one of Madeira's most authentic routes on an exhilarating 4x4 adventure that combines mountains, off-road trails, breathtaking observation decks, and the tradition of the picturesque village of Câmara de Lobos.
For about 4 hours, we climb the Serras de Câmara de Lobos, crossing forest paths and 4x4 trails surrounded by nature, among eucalyptus, pines, and breathtaking mountainous landscapes. Along the way, we make several stops at natural observation decks to take in panoramic views of Funchal, Câmara de Lobos, the Atlantic Ocean, and the lush valleys of the southern part of the island.
The adventure continues with the descent towards Cabo Girão, one of the highest cliffs in Europe, at an altitude of about 580 meters. Here you will have time to visit the famous observation deck with a glass floor and take in one of the most impressive views in Madeira, overlooking the ocean and the farmland of Fajã do Cabo Girão.
We then continue to the charming village of Câmara de Lobos, one of the most emblematic locations on the island and the birthplace of traditional black swordfish fishing. We will stroll through the historic old town, next to the colorful harbor where the typical fishing boats are moored, learning a little about the history, culture, and traditions of this village that inspired Winston Churchill in his paintings.
To finish the experience, we will make a stop to taste a traditional Madeiran drink, making this tour a perfect combination of adventure, nature, and local culture.
An ideal experience for those who want to get to know the most authentic side of Madeira, exploring unique landscapes between the mountains and the sea.
