Watch the sun set over the Atlantic from the deck of the Spica, a Bruce Roberts Mauritius 43 classic sailing yacht built in 1983 and fully restored in 2024. You have the whole yacht to yourselves, a group of up to 10, hosted by the owner-captain and crew. We leave Funchal Marina in the late afternoon and head out along the calm southern coast under sail, past Câmara de Lobos and the towering Cabo Girão cliffs, timing the route so you are on the water for the golden hour. As the light turns, we serve sparkling wine, soft drinks and a selection of local delicacies on deck. Along the way you may spot dolphins or seabirds, hear the story of this hand-restored classic yacht from the captain, and slow down as Funchal lights up behind you. It is made for couples, families, and small celebrations looking for a quieter evening on the water.
