The tour starts with pick-up from meeting points in Funchal city center, Lido, or Caniço. Begin the day with a traditional wheat coffee or a bica or garoto, local Madeira coffee specialties, while the guide explains the itinerary.
The main activity is the challenging hike from Pico Areeiro to Pico Ruivo, Madeira’s highest peaks. Expect dramatic landscapes and unique flora throughout the trail.
At Pico Ruivo, enjoy a picnic featuring local snacks outdoors amid natural surroundings.
After the hike, continue to Achadas Teixeira to explore additional landscapes and the island’s natural beauty.
