Description

The tour begins at Cabo Girão, one of Madeira’s highest viewpoints at 580 meters above sea level. From the glass skywalk, enjoy expansive views over terraced farmland, the Atlantic Ocean, and coastline extending toward Câmara de Lobos.

Next, a scenic viewpoint above Ribeira Brava offers insights into Madeira’s geography with views of a deep valley, winding river, and ocean panorama.

In Serra de Água, stop at a traditional bar to taste poncha, Madeira’s iconic drink, and learn about its local history and preparation (drinks not included).

Travel north along Lombo da Achada dos Judeus, climbing steep slopes through vineyards before entering the first off-road section. This area overlooks São Vicente valley and a mountain chapel.

Drive through São Vicente Village on the road to Porto Moniz, passing waterfalls along the way.

At Véu da Noiva Viewpoint, named after the waterfall resembling a bridal veil, take time to enjoy the views and browse local stalls.

Seixal Beach, known as 'Black Gold Beach,' features volcanic black sand, green cliffs, and clear waters, ideal for photography.

Ribeira da Janela showcases dramatic sea stacks shaped by volcanic activity and Atlantic waves, presenting a rugged north coast landscape.

In Porto Moniz, enjoy free time for swimming in the natural lava pools or relaxing by the sea. This is also the lunch stop; several seaside restaurants offer fresh fish and local dishes (lunch not included).

The tour continues to Fanal Forest, part of Madeira’s Laurissilva, where ancient twisted trees and open meadows create a unique setting for photos and short walks.

Cross the high plateau of Paul da Serra with its vast horizons, then descend through eucalyptus forests and terraced fields of sugarcane, vineyards, and potatoes along the traditional ladeiras of Canhas.

The final stop is Ponta do Sol, Madeira’s sunniest village, offering coastal views before returning to Funchal for drop-off.
