Experience a green dolphin and whale watching tour aboard a 2022-built eco-friendly catamaran along Madeira’s southern coast. The vessel cruises quietly with hybrid-electric engines that reduce noise and emissions, minimizing disturbance to cetaceans.
The tour departs from Funchal and extends several miles offshore in search of local marine species including dolphins, whales, turtles, and oceanic birds. Experienced spotters on land help locate wildlife, guiding the boat for optimal sightings. Certified guides deliver informative commentary on the observed species throughout the trip.
On the return journey, the catamaran sails close to the coast, passing landmarks such as Cabo Girão sea cliffs, Câmara de Lobos fishing village, and Reid’s Hotel, known for its historical connection to Winston Churchill. Passengers can relax on spacious decks while enjoying coastal views.
