Begin at Funchal’s old town, uncovering one of the most iconic places of the city. Experience streets filled with stories and characters and buildings that have survived since the 15th century. Stop at one of the most mesmerizing viewpoints, named by locals as “Pináculo.' Continue to the east of Funchal to a tiny seaside village known as Garajau. At Garajau, spot the village's Christ King Statue, located in the Cristo Rei Viewpoint. This iconic statue was completed in 1927, just four years before the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil. After seeing the beautiful sights from above the sea, the tuk-tuk tour continues in the direction of the sea level to visit The Garajau nature reserve, known for its crystalline waters, and its biological richness. From here, the tour concludes its course back to Funchal city.
