Description

Leaving Funchal area, the drive to the start of the walk is at a short distance. This unique and gentle walk takes you through an eucaliptal forest area, agriculture terraces and breathtaking panoramic views of the coast As you walk, you’ll follow the intricate network of waterways that have been shaping Madeira’s landscape for centuries, with gentle inclines making it a perfect walk for all levels of hikers. Along the way, marvel the typical low altitude vegetation, agricultural terraces and occasionally local farmers. Being one of the longest and most important levada walks in the island its definitely a must do even for the visitors that want only a 'taste' of our walking trips When finished, there will still be time for a stop at 'Cabo Girão' the highest sea cliff of Europe Will be back to Funchal at around lunch time
