Description
The tour begins in a very relaxed manner with a pick-up directly from your accommodation. Together, we drive to the green northern side of Madeira to the idyllic Queimadas Nature Park near Santana, the starting point of this guided hiking tour on Madeira. Already here, a fairy-tale setting awaits you with traditional thatched houses, ancient trees, and an atmosphere from another era.
From Queimadas, we follow the famous Levada do Caldeirão Verde, one of the most beautiful hiking trails on the island. The pleasantly even path leads deep into Madeira's protected Laurisilva area, past moss-covered rock faces, small streams, exotic vegetation, and spectacular gorges.
A special highlight of this Madeira Levada tour in Madeira are the several tunnels along the way, which give our hike a touch of adventure. Again and again, breathtaking views open up of steep, lush green mountain slopes, deep valleys, and small waterfalls that accompany the trail.
The finale awaits you at the legendary Caldeirão Verde, the famous 'Green Cauldron' of Madeira: A waterfall plunges here from a height of over 100 meters into a natural basin, surrounded by vertically rising, densely overgrown rock walls. A place full of tranquility, energy, and natural beauty – perfect for a well-deserved break and unforgettable memories.
After this nature experience, we will start the return journey in a relaxed manner and then take you back to your accommodation in comfort.
