Madeira’s famous levadas are irrigation channels that often lead directly to the Atlantic Ocean. This tour begins at Queimadas Forest Park, where you walk through dense vegetation on stone paths into the forest.

Along the way, your guide points out the variety of local flora and fauna while you take in views over Santana, São Jorge, and the Verde lagoon. The route culminates at the Caldeirão Verde waterfall, where you pause for a picnic before returning to the start.
