Your experience begins with pickup from your accommodation in Machico, Santa Cruz, Caniço, Garajau, or Funchal. From Picarouto, you embark on a 10 km walk showcasing Madeira's diverse landscapes and natural beauty.
Along the route, observe striking rock formations rising like natural sculptures and encounter a variety of unique plants, especially vibrant with colorful flowers in spring. You will pass through the oldest heather forest on the island, featuring trees hundreds of years old, dating back to the time of Madeira's discovery by Zarco.
The tour culminates with the ascent to Pico Ruivo, perched at 1,862 meters, offering wide panoramic views. The walk ends at Achada do Teixeira, where you will be collected for your return.
