Start the tour with pickup from your accommodation in Machico, Caniço, or Funchal (including the port). Set off for the starting point of the hike - the Levada dos Maroços a hiking area in the hills above the city of Machico. Begin your hike through the beautiful landscape which is mainly composed of agricultural land and carefully worked crops, complemented by impressive views over Machico. Along the way, observe the local residents in their usual daily tasks, such as tending to their land and animals. Enjoy the opportunity to spend a few hours outdoors soaking up the typical environment of the island.
