Description
Queimadas’ House is nestled in lush greenery. The trail leads to a majestic waterfall, passing through a predominantly green landscape. Along the route, enjoy expansive views over the village of São Jorge and surrounding mountains.
Water features prominently on this walk, from water running along the levada channels, to waterfalls and streams. The trail is safe to walk year-round.
Several tunnels require a flashlight and helmet, both provided on this tour. The journey ends at Caldeirão Verde, where a large waterfall cascades into a cool, clear lagoon.
