Description

The tour begins with pickup from your accommodation and a drive to the Rabaçal area. A brief refreshment stop at a local spot may occur but is not guaranteed. Once at Rabaçal, the hike starts with scenic trails through lush forest surroundings.

You will take a 700-meter detour to the Risco Waterfall before continuing to the 25 Fountains lagoon, where there is a 30-minute break. The walk involves an elevation gain of approximately 75 meters and generally lasts 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Along the trail, your guide will share insights on the region's ecosystem and the traditional levada irrigation system. The return route includes passage through a natural tunnel. Time permitting, there may be an additional stop at a local bar before returning to your accommodation.
