Description

We start the tour at Pico do Arieiro, at an altitude of 1,818 meters, where you can admire the impressive mountains and, on clear days, the famous sea of clouds. We then head to Ribeiro Frio, in the heart of the Laurissilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by lush nature. One of the most iconic places in Madeira, surrounded by nature and the Laurissilva forest. You'll have the opportunity to take an approximately 30- to 40-minute hike along the Levada until you reach an observation deck with stunning views. Access to the hike costs an additional €5.50 per person, which is not included in the price of the tour. (If you wish to do this hike, you should go to the Simplifica Portal, https://simplifica.madeira.gov.pt/services/78-82-259, select 'Balcony Path' and make the appropriate payment). If you prefer not to walk, you can take this opportunity to visit the traditional trout hatchery and learn a little more about this peaceful place, set in a landscape of lush forest. Next, we'll continue to Santana, where there will be a break for lunch. You can choose a local restaurant or ask the guide for a recommendation. We'll continue to Guindaste Belvedere on the north coast, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the cliffs. Then we'll head to Santana, known for its traditional thatched houses and its rich Madeiran cultural heritage. You'll also have time for a lunch break, where you can savor the local cuisine and enjoy a peaceful moment before we continue exploring the island. We end at Ponta de São Lourenço, a unique volcanic landscape characterized by cliffs, mountains and spectacular views of the ocean.
