Description
The trail follows a well-preserved levada, winding gently through terraced fields, orchards, and stone-walled gardens still cultivated by local farmers. Along the way, you’ll pass through patches of native forest, with sweeping views over the verdant valley below and the distant Atlantic beyond.
This walk is ideal for those seeking a more relaxed, authentic experience of Madeira — far from the crowds but rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. The path is relatively flat and accessible, making it suitable for most walkers.
At the end of this walk there will be time for a relaxing and well deserved coffee / drink and the opportunity to taste one of the best banana homemade cakes of the island.
