We begin the tour of Madeira Island with an exciting adventure down the traditional Tobogã do Monte. This is one of the icons of Madeira, where you will be driven on a sled through winding streets. It's a unique and fun experience that will end your day with lots of fun.
We continue to Pico dos Barcelos, one of the most famous viewpoints on the island, which offers spectacular views over Funchal, the sea and the surrounding mountains. This is the perfect place to appreciate the grandeur of the capital of Madeira Island and take many memorable photographs.
The next destination is the Miradouro da Eira do Serrado, located at an altitude of 1095 meters. This viewpoint offers a stunning view over Curral das Freiras and the majestic mountains that surround it. Continuing the journey, we visit the charming village of Curral das Freiras, which is located in the heart of the island, surrounded by imposing mountains. Explore the narrow streets and take the opportunity to try some local delicacies, such as liqueurs, chestnut bread and the traditional ginja, a drink typical of the region.
End your day of adventure with an exciting visit to the Cabo Girão Viewpoint, one of the island's most impressive attractions. Here you will have the opportunity to explore the Skywalk, a glass platform suspended 580 meters above sea level. The panoramic view of the cliffs and ocean from this platform is breathtaking. - You may have to wait a while in line to get off the Toboggan, especially if it's a day when there's a cruise ship passing through Funchal.
To get to the Eira do Serrado viewpoint you will need to take a 10-minute walk and climb some steps.
