Take the opportunity to explore two of Madeira’s most iconic peaks: Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo. Begin your adventure at Pico do Areeiro, walking the Vereda do Areeiro trail to the stunning Ninho da Manta viewpoint, the Grand Stairway to Heaven, and beyond. Continue along breathtaking mountain paths to Achada do Teixeira, near Pico Ruivo, the highest peak on the island. Meet a local driver or host at the beggining of the activity, who will provide a briefing, maps, and safety guidance to ensure a safe and enjoyable self-guided hike. After completing your hike, enjoy a comfortable return to Funchal in a spacious vehicle with panoramic windows, perfect for photography.
