Hey explorer! Are you curious about Madeira? Rightly so, because lush green landscapes, great coastal scenery and a fairytale forest await you. Madeira's nature in all its glory! Fanal Park: fairytale forest we will head to Fanal and thus to the 'magic forest' of Madeira. It seems straight out of a storybook. Walk among (hopefully misty) strangely shaped trees and keep your eyes peeled for the famous cows that sometimes appear out of nowhere in the mystical mist. Ribeira da Janela: picturesque village Our journey continues to Ribeira da Janela. The highlight here is the impressive rock that rises from the sea and has an opening that resembles a window. São Vicente Bell Tower Viewpoint Our next stop is São Vicente, our favourite place in the north. Here we go up a few steps to the famous church tower. A great photo motif and an even greater view from up there, because from here you have a unique perspective on the rugged charm of the island. Cabo Girão Skywalk: thrilling heights Next, we head up high to the famous Cabo Girão Skywalk, a glass viewpoint that offers breathtaking views from dizzying heights. At 580 meters high, Cabo Girão is one of the highest capes in Europe. Keep cameras ready (and tight)! Poncha Time! we stop at a local poncha bar and try the most famous drink of the island.
