Description

Start your trip by departing from Funchal in the direction of Pico do Arieiro, Madeira’s third-highest peak at a height of 1,818 meters. This is one of the most beautiful places in Madeira, with unbeatable views of the island we stop for 40 minutes to walk around and visit the top of Pico do Arieiro.
Later, descend to Ribeiro Frio and reach the Laurissilva Forest to visit the trout fish farming. Going to Balcões about 40 minutes walk easy and beautiful, if you wish to do it not mandatory , one thing is sure you will never will forget this amazing forest and there views. Our adventure along old paths passing to Cedro Gordo and Faial Village by the sea another impressive place with cliffs and on a clear day you even can see our neigbor Island Porto Santo. Then going up to Santana Village where you’ll get to visit the typical straw houses and the special walterfall stop for a lunch on a typical restaurant.
For the second part of our adventure we go down the old road to the point view of Guindastre with a glass platform.
Then continue towards Porto da Cruz Village where you can walk along the seafront promenade, and of couse very important to visit the sugarcane distillery, tasting all the different rum and cakes, biscuits that they do on the factory. Then to Ponta de São Lourenço in the East side of Madeira. This part of the Island is much more drier and arid, but with a unique beauty due to its cliffs and colors.
End your trip with drop-off back in Funchal.
