Description
Curral das Freiras, a small parish surrounded by steep mountains, is situated in the heart of the Island. It is believed that this deep valley was formed either by erosion or volcanic activity.
After passing by the church of Santo António, we will stop at the Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint, at 350 m, where you will enjoy the magnificent view of Funchal.
We will then proceed through the mountains until we reach Eira do Serrado, from where you will have an excellent view from 1094 m over Curral das Freiras.
After visiting Curral das Freiras, we will then return to Funchal.
