This full-day jeep tour promises an unforgettable adventure through the diverse landscapes and charming villages of Madeira's eastern region. We start with a pickup in Funchal and head up to Pico do Arieiro, one of the highest peaks on the island. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views before descending into the verdant valleys. Our next stop is Ribeiro Frio, a picturesque village situated in the Laurissilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will have the option of embarking on a levada ride, immersing yourself in the tranquillity of this enchanting natural wonder. Get ready for a thrilling off-road experience as we venture deeper into the interior of the island. We'll follow hidden trails and discover secret viewpoints that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Our journey continues to Santana, a charming village known for its traditional triangular houses with thatched roofs. Enjoy a delicious 1 hour and 20 minute lunch break (not included in the tour price) to taste local delicacies and explore this unique village. After lunch, we head to Porto da Cruz, a coastal town known for its sugar cane production. Here, we will visit a traditional sugar cane mill (Engenho do Norte) and learn about the fascinating process of rum production. Our last stop is Ponta de São Lourenço, Madeira's most easterly point. Marvel at the dramatic cliffs, volcanic formations and panoramic ocean views before returning to Funchal.
