Description
We'll start with a pickup in Funchal and head towards Lugar de Baixo, a charming village nestled between banana plantations and vineyards. Next, we'll climb up to Paul da Serra, Madeira's largest plateau, where panoramic views of the island's rugged interior await us.
Next, we'll venture to Ponta do Pargo, Madeira's westernmost point. Marvel at the dramatic cliffs and breathtaking ocean views from this iconic lighthouse.
Our adventure continues to Paul do Mar, a picturesque fishing village known for its relaxed atmosphere and delicious seafood. Enjoy a lunch break of 1 hour and 20 minutes (not included in the tour price) to sample the local cuisine and soak up the enchanting atmosphere.
After lunch, we head to Calheta, a vibrant coastal town with a beautiful artificial beach. Here, we will visit a traditional sugar cane mill (Engenho da Calheta) and learn about the fascinating process of rum production.
Finally, we'll embark on a panoramic journey back to Funchal, reflecting on the incredible sights and experiences of the day.
