Description
Enjoy this small group tour beginning with a visit to the Cabo Girão viewpoint, a nearly vertical promontory on Madeira's south coast, standing at 580 meters and offering breathtaking views over the Atlantic and the terraced fields below.
Next, head to São Vicente, passing through the stunning landscapes of Ribeira Brava and Serra d'Água. Stop at the Água d'Alto waterfall, one of Madeira's tallest at 150 meters, and admire its majestic beauty.
Continue to the iconic Véu da Noiva waterfall, located on the old coastal road between São Vicente and Seixal. Enjoy the dramatic mountain and ocean scenery from the Véu da Noiva viewpoint.
Arrive at Seixal Beach, recognized as one of Europe’s best beaches in 2022 by European Best Destinations. Admire its natural charm, black volcanic sand, waterfalls, and the surrounding lush cliffs. Take a stroll along the beach and soak up the breathtaking scenery.
Make a brief stop at the Ribeira da Janela islet, known for its impressive rock formations and stunning ocean views. Then, head to Porto Moniz for a lunch break (not included), famous for its beautiful natural volcanic pools.
After lunch, stop at a viewpoint in Ribeira da Janela to admire the incredible views of the coastline and the village of Seixal. Finally, visit the magical Laurissilva Forest, located on the Paul da Serra plateau, known for its enchanting moss-covered, twisted trees. This subtropical ecosystem is considered a “living monument” and a relic of the Tertiary Period, consisting mainly of endemic Macaronesian species, especially from the Lauraceae family. It covers around 15,000 hectares and is classified as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site.
