This is where the 50 shades of green covering dramatic cliffs and waterfalls crash into 50 shades of blue. The Northwest of the island, the native Laurell forest and vulcanic rock pools capital. After many years of working with other companies offering standard tours, the job that i love and that i honestly believe i was cut to be doing was falling into a routine with all the morning several pickups, multilanguage tours, and cultural differences of the participants, so i have decided to start my company offering exclusively private tours, unique and tailored to suit each group. In this tour, we will see how local people live in the countryside regions where until the 1990s, only some tourists would dare to visit. Let the evergreen mountains and cliffs surrounding the geometrical lines of the terraces that harmoniously mark the landscape, dazzle your mind. We will walk in the pre-ice age, protected by UNESCO, Laurell forest that can be found basically in every North coast village outskirts, walking alongside a 'Levada', the man-made irrigation channels as old as the first settlements in the island and ancient footpaths covering Madeira and connecting the villages. We will see beautiful waterfalls, visit lava rock pools where you can swim, and some breathtaking sightseeing points hidden from most visitors and locals.
