Located in Lugar de Baixo, 15 km from Funchal, the Museum is organized to offer you a complete sensory experience of Madeira banana production. At the Madeira Banana Museum - BAM we work hand in hand with farmers to boost, rehabilitate, adapt, modernize and promote Madeira banana research and experimentation. Discover experimental fields, innovative banana bunch transportation systems and greenhouses with the latest technology. The bar offers a tasting service while you enjoy the view of our banana plantations. Sandwiches, snacks, sweets, fruit smoothies and other drinks for the whole family. And for the older ones, a special beer made from Madeira bananas.
