Description

After pickup, travel to Pico do Arieiro where you will enjoy the sunrise. This is the highest viewpoint of the island at 1818 meters of altitude. See the sunrise at 1800 metres of altitude overlooking the east side Enjoy a homemade breakfast (if you choose the breakfast option) of toasted sandwiches(ham and cheese), homemade cake, at a very special location : a rustic old mill that was refurbished in order to accomodate people and a perfect spot to enjoy your breakfast in privacy and sheltered from the cold. Then, travel back to Camacha and go for a lovely walk( if you book the breakfast option) in the Paradise Valley area. Admire the views of some endemic trees from the Laurissilva forest. Then, head back to the city center with drop-off at your hotel or at a central point. We have now introduced a lower cost option without breakfast and levada walk that is available everyday for those that do not wish to have breakfast and just want to see the sunrise and return to the hotel in time for breakfast, this option is ideal for those who only wish to see the sunrise and do other activities during the day.

We have the sunrise transport option available everyday, so please make sure if this is the option you wish to book as the breakfast option isn't always available (limited availability ) From Tuesday to Saturday this sunrise activity has the option with breakfast included and also it includes a levada walk in the Paradise Valley This activity will take place rain or shine If the weather/visibility conditions are not good enough to see the sunrise in Pico do Arieiro, the sunrise spot will change to alternative spots where we have a better chance of seeing a good sunrise. There are no refunds based on weather conditions, weather can be unpredictable and we are not responsible for low visibility in Pico do Arieiro, but we will always try to find the best alternative spot. If your hotel is outside our pickup area please contact GYG before booking
