Description
Spring arrives early in Madeira, and Easter time puts a special light on the island. Hills covered in flowers, ocean turned unreal blue, paths winding through clouds and volcanic rocks. Here, every day has the scent of discovery, and every sunrise makes you feel like you're exactly where you need to be.
We'll spend 9 days in a private villa overlooking the Atlantic, alongside a community of curious, open-minded people eager for authentic experiences. We'll explore spectacular trails, traditional villages, and fog-shrouded forests. On Easter day, we celebrate simply, together, far from home but connected by the same joy.
Highlights:
• Pico do Arieiro & Pico Ruivo – spectacular ridge between the island's highest peaks, volcanic rocks, steep stairs, tunnels carved into rock
• Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço – trail cutting through red and black cliffs where turquoise ocean meets wild shores
• Levada Rabaçal – 25 Fontes – rainforest walk past water channels, mosses, giant ferns to the lagoon of 25 springs
• Porto Moniz – swimming in natural lava pools filled by Atlantic waves
• Fanal Forest – mysterious centuries-old laurel trees shrouded in fog; a fairy-tale setting
• Ribeiro Frio & Balcões – one of Madeira's most beautiful viewpoints
• Santana – traditional village with triangular thatched-roof houses
• Prainha do Caniçal – hidden beach with black volcanic sand between dramatic cliffs
• Ocean cruise (optional) – dolphins and whales in the open Atlantic
