Description

The tour begins in Câmara de Lobos, a traditional fishing village, the landscape of this city is marked by the presence of characteristic fishing boats, called “Xavelhas”. We will go to the Cabo Girão viewpoint, with the famous glass suspended platform - “skywalk”, currently one of the most visited tourist attractions. The Cabo Girão viewpoint offers an unparalleled perspective over the cities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal. We will be able to see the emblematic Véu da Noiva Waterfall, whose beauty can be admired from the Véu da Noiva viewpoint. See the Well of Lesmas, in this sheltered place, the morphology of the rocks, of volcanic origin, forms natural pools with a peculiar profile. The dark tones of the rock formations contrast with the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean, creating a picture that is impossible to remain indifferent to. Porto Moniz known for its natural pools, one of the main attractions on the north coast. This is where we stop for lunch and also for those who want to swim in the volcanic pools. Furthermore, the surrounding landscape, with a panoramic perspective of the sea coast and its rocks, leaves no one indifferent. Ribeira da Janela, where the watercourse with the same name flows. Ribeira da Janela is famous for its imposing mountains, where the green of the slopes is complemented by the crystal clear blue of the Atlantic. Fanal is known for its mystical landscape, marked by the presence of a centuries-old tis forest - these specimens date back to a time before the discovery of the archipelago. In this place you will find a vast forest area that invites you to peacefully enjoy the best that Nature has to offer. This idyllic space is one of the most emblematic places in the municipality of Porto Moniz, housing a landscape heritage of great beauty. Ponta de Sol, with its stunning beaches and typical villages, is known for being the one that enjoys the greatest number of hours of sunshine per year. Passing between the north and south of the Island, Taberna da Poncha is a mandatory stop to enjoy the famous traditional Madeiran drink, poncha. Thinking about children who often accompany their parents, Taberna da Poncha started making alcohol-free poncha. Total duration 8 hours
